About
☆☆PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY! 📣 Waterford Resistance Overpass Visibility Brigade Protest Every Saturday until election day! Cross Road bridge, Waterford OUR ELECTIONS ARE OUR MOST POWERFUL TOOL OF RESISTANCE! Trump and his administration are madly trying to subvert our elections by all means possible so they can hold onto power. Help save our democracy from this fascist regime! Come help us make sure everyone knows what's at stake in this election by holding signs and banners on overpasses over I-95 in southeast CT. Providing physical messaging in the real world to connect with and activate voters to demonstrate why the 2026 election is so important. ♡♡♡ Our goal is to remind neighbors of the crisis we face and promote early voting and support of pro-democratic state and national political candidates. We remind people that we are not alone in these unprecedented times. We use large signs facing I-95 and smaller signs facing the local traffic. We encourage you to bring your own signs and flags but will also have extra signs as well. (41.368081, -72.165171) https://maps.app.goo.gl/cWwdZ5vWVUnDekxS7 Parking details below. For questions or to RSVP by email, email [email removed] ~ We will display large signs over the highway. You can also display flags and smaller signs for local traffic on Cross Road. Please no profanity. NOTE: ⭐️⭐️ Nothing can be attached to the bridge. For safety reasons, ONLY CROSS the bridge at the light on the south end of the bridge (the intersection with Waterford Pkwy, where the parking is located). ⭐️⭐️ **Conditions and weather permitting** Parking Details: Meet at 9:45 am at the parking lot at Yale Health facility, Crossroads Professional Building, 200 Waterford Pkwy South, Waterford. Parkway South runs parallel to the highway on the south side. The parking lot is about 1/10 of a mile from the bridge. We will walk over together. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
