About
For the foreseeable future Indivisible Clinton County will be hosting monthly candle light vigils on the last Friday of the month to show our solidarity with our immigrant neighbors and their friends and families. Our first vigil was held on 10/10/2025 and in the last 12 months we were able to obtain 68 individual local signatures supporting our neighbors of all ethnicities and birth regions. We see you, we love you, and we stand with you. Please join us as we peacefully gather. LED candles will be provided or you can bring your own candle if you prefer. Please keep in mind these events are to show our support for the victims of these unlawful, cruel, and inhumane acts that this administrations policies and departments have caused. With this in mind, please try to keep signs focused on encouraging words for our neighbors instead of attacks against ICE. They've had enough attention, now it's time for us to light up the night to show the way forward to a better tomorrow. Let's make sure our neighbors know they are welcome here, regardless of their "status". *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
