## 🛫 ICE & AROCC: Stop ICE operations at Mesa Gateway Airport! For eight months, [Mesa Valley Indivisible](https://www.mesavalleyindivisible.org/) members and a coalition of groups around the country have been working relentlessly to end Avelo Airlines’ involvement in the unlawful and inhumane deportation of primarily non‑violent immigrants via Mesa Gateway Airport. As a result, Avelo Airlines ended their contract with ICE in January 2026! Although Avelo Airlines has left our Mesa Gateway Airport, ICE deportation missions still happen every day and the Arizona Removal Operations Coordination Center (AROCC) continues to operate. When local lawmakers recently conducted a surprise visit to the Arizona Removal Operations Coordination Center here at Mesa Gateway, they were sickened by what they found. Despite being a transit hub meant for 12-hour stays, people were being held for weeks, packed like sardines on bare concrete floors with no beds or showers. While the administration continues to claim these are short-term facilities, the reality has proven to be gut-wrenching medical neglect and overcrowding. #### 📢 Join us on Saturday, October 24th to challenge the illegal, inhumane, and unconstitutional ICE removal operations! -------------------------------------- ## 🔑 Key Concerns Driving the Protest: - We have compiled public records, congressional oversight letters, and local reporting into one place. - Please read our complete [Mesa Valley Indivisible AROCC and ICE Air Deportations Fact Sheet](https://www.mesavalleyindivisible.org/ice-deportationsarocc) to understand the full scope of our key concerns and see how you can take action. -------------------------------------- ## 🚨 Important! 🚨 - To ensure you receive all necessary information for the upcoming event, please make sure you have officially registered via Mobilize. - All vital updates—including parking instructions, logistical changes, and additional details—will be sent to the email address provided during registration. - If you have not registered on the platform, we will be unable to send you these updates. - Keep an eye out for emails from Mesa Valley Indivisible and check your spam/junk folder if you do not see them! - [Mesa Valley Indivisible](https://www.mesavalleyindivisible.org/) prioritizes strategic visibility to ensure our message reaches the widest possible audience.
