NOW is the time to come together once again in a public, PEACEFUL rally sharing our signs, flags, and voices to declare that we demand our democracy back from the dystopia created by Donald Trump and the MAGAs who have taken control of our state and federal government and are wrecking havoc in the lives of all but the wealthy among us. Bring friends, signs, flags, (optional). We'll have "Ballot for Change" fliers and voting information to distribute as we get ready to VOTE MAGAS OUT and BLUE politicians representing the people IN! Please note: A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should never be brought to our Peaceful Persisterhood-sponsored rallies. We will have some extra signs and safety marshalls on site to ensure that those participating do so with joy as we exercise our rights to peacefully protest and encourage everyone to vote in November. Better to light a candle by VOTING than to curse the darknes. . . . . .
