About

Chapel Hill - Carrboro March to the Polls! There are four locations on two days!! PLEASE SIGN UP on our website to choose your date and route! https://bit.ly/4gZNGxq Join us on either Thursday, Oct 15 at 4:30 pm (the first day of early voting!) and/or Saturday, Oct 17 at 10:00 am to inspire and empower people to exercise their right to vote, support civics education, and promote early voting in Orange County. We're coordinating four simultaneous, family-friendly marches along public sidewalks on each date. Each march route will end at one of the four early voting polling sites in Chapel Hill/Carrboro (Chapel Hill Public Library, Seymour Center, Chapel of the Cross, and Drakeford Library in Carrboro), where eligible folks can register and/or vote. The march routes are all about .8 miles and should take people between 20 and 40 minutes to complete.  We're encouraging participants to bring non-partisan (no candidates' names or parties) signs that raise awareness about early voting sites and dates. We will host a sign-making event on Saturday, Oct 10 from 9:30-11:30 am: https://mobilize.us/s/aMpVHT. For more info and to check out the routes, please see our website at https://bit.ly/4gZNGxq These events are being organized by the local demonstration group Franklin & Elliott, and are supported by Engaged Defenders 4 Democracy, Indivisible Orange County NC, The Community Church of Chapel Hill, United Church of Chapel Hill, and the Church of Reconciliation. This local effort aligns with the Repairers of the Breach Coalition’s nationwide campaign: March. Educate. Vote.
