About
Midterms are coming and now is the time to get out there and encourage everyone to VOTE and VOTE EARLY if at all possible. Join the dedicated Aromas Tricounty Indivisible Bridge Brigade on Tuesday October 6 and/or Tuesday October 13 as we bring that message to the thousands of drivers heading down Highway 101 during peak afternoon commute time. Ballots will be arriving in mailboxes starting the first week of October and we want to make sure everyone knows how important it is to complete and return those ballots to the election department as early as possible. We will bring BIG messages to face both the highway and the street. Come help hold the sign frame and wave at all the cars honking as they roll by or bring your own Get Out The Vote signs. We are a joyful group and welcome your participation. ATI is committed to a safe and legal action. Please follow any instructions from the safety monitor wearing a yellow vest. Stay on the wide sidewalk, out of the traffic and bike lanes. Park on the dirt shoulder on either side of the bridge, entirely off the pavement. CHP will not allow anything to be attached to the overpass fencing. Make sure all signs are always in your physical control. Please note: A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
