## NO KINGS - Vote Early **Rally @ NE 28th & E Burnside** NO KINGS - Vote Early is a seismic shift from mobilizing people, to wielding people power. A massive voter turnout, propelled by a massive early vote, will result in an unassailable result. But the billionaire tech bros, white supremacists', corrupt grifters who surround Trump, and the wanna-be king himself will not simply give up power. When they are challenged, they will manufacture chaos. Voting is not enough. We need to be ready. We must be prepared to defend the results. That is why Indivisible Oregon is doing more than rallying, we are organizing. At NO KINGS - Early Vote, our Corner Captains will be collecting signatures for the **Pledge to Defend the Vote**. The Pledge is simple, “**If a mass mobilization is called to defend the vote, I will show up and I will bring three others with me**.” On October 17 stand with your community. Bring your family, neighbors, friends, signs, flags and banners to promote voting, especially early voting. Take the pledge, **Show up October 17. Vote Early. Take the pledge.** **Our democracy depends on us.** *No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.* *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
