About

On Saturday, October 17 we will be reaching out across Ames to register voters, sign people up to get a ride to the polls, as well as sign people up to take people to the polls! We will have information about early voting locations, as well as a way to make a voting plan. We will be providing rides across Story County, so don't hesitate to sign up that day or through email at [email removed]. Join us at one or more locations and bring friends. It's not enough to vote yourself - we need to bring everyone to the polls! Raygun, 301 Main Street - 9:00 am - 12:30 pm Bandshell Park, Duff 7 6th Street - 10:00 am - Noon Campustown Court, 204 Welch Avenue - 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Inis Grove Park, 2500 Duff Avenue - 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Mary Jane's, 119 Main Street - 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm Campustown Court, 204 Welch Avenue - 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm **We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.** For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law. Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it's a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard. *No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.* *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
