Union Carpenters and Millwrights Skilled Training Center, Detroit, Michigan
About
Join the Carpenters Union and the Michigan Democratic Party for a Get Out the Vote rally with our full statewide ticket—Abdul El-Sayed, Jocelyn Benson, Garlin Gilchrist, and Eli Savit. Date: Today, Sunday, October 18, 2026 Address: Union Carpenters and Millwrights Skilled Training Center, 11687 American St, Detroit, MI 48204 Schedule: Doors will open at 12:30 PM. The program will begin at 2:15 PM. Parking: Parking is available in the adjacent lot to the main building. Entrances to the parking lot are on American Street and Jeffries Freeway. See the map below. Security: All attendees will go through airport-like security at the “Main Entrance.” Please note that no outside food or drink, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, large signs, or bags (except small, clear bags) will be permitted. We're just over two weeks out from Election Day. Absentee voting is already underway, and statewide early voting starts Saturday, October 24. The Carpenters know what it takes to build something that lasts, and that's what this election is about. Good-paying jobs, strong unions, and an economy that works for the people who keep Michigan running are all on the ballot, from the U.S. Senate to the Secretary of State's office. Working families have the power to decide these races, and we're going to use it. Come stand with the Carpenters and union members from across Michigan, hear from our candidates, and get fired up to get out the vote for Democrats up and down the ballot. Bring your coworkers, family, and friends!
