About
We refuse to accept a country where sexual violence goes unpunished, in our homes, our neighborhoods, our universities, our institutions, and our halls of government. Survivors, youth, and feminist organizations are rising up together for a national day of action. Public sidewalk protest against sexual violence and the rape culture that supports it, particularly from the female perspective in a patriarchal society that continues to fail and attack women's rights. Let's use our righteous rage together for change and the healing that comes with community. We're showing up to save ourselves, our sisters and our daughters in humanity. Remember, our rage fuels our message; it does not consume it. We’d like to get as many of us as possible during peak traffic at the location. Our children will see us standing up for them during the evening rush hour slot. Moment of silence at 11:30 Bring signs and your friends! Sign Messages Recommended: Stop Sexual Abuse, Stop Sexual Violence, I stand against Sexual Violence, Justice For Jane Doe This a local Indivisible event! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
