Safety Volunteers Needed for WACO NO KINGS – LET'S VOTE! We need Safety Volunteers for our last Freedom Corner Protest before the Election, 17 October, 10:00 am to 11:30am at the corner of North Valley Mills Drive and West Waco Drive . We need up to 12 Safety Volunteers to assist us in keeping the protest safe and distribute voter guides and other Election information.. This a a great job for all of you that have helped us as Safeties in the protests since Jan 2025! Safety Volunteers wear reflective vests, carry whistles and may have radios for a large protest and stand behind the line to make sure that our safety protocols are followed. They also monitor surrounding areas for any potential problems. As always, this is a 100% nonviolent and safe action. Protesters stay on the sidewalk along Valley Mills Drive and at the corner. Stay out of the street. Don't waive your signs and flags out into the street. Do not impede passers by or vehicles in the parking lot. Deescalate any tense situation. Park in authorized parking spaces. Obey pedestrian traffic signals. Cheerfully engage with opponents, but, If things get too heated, stop talking, turn around, walk away. Leave if you perceive danger. Absolutely no weapons, not even legal ones. We will follow the instructions of law enforcement. You should arrive at 9:45am to get your vest and a quick briefing.
