About
# TRUMP IS COMING TO MAT-SU—LET’S SHOW UP! Trump is coming to the Menard Center in Wasilla for a rally with Dan Sullivan and Nick Begich—and we have an important message for him: **Mat-Su is not a political coronation, and he should not expect a warm welcome from everyone here!** Since Trump’s election in 2024, Mat-Su United for Progress and Stand Up Alaska have been organizing, speaking out, and bringing our community together to challenge his agenda. Now it’s time to make our voices heard again! **WE’RE ANGRY ABOUT WHAT TRUMP IS DOING TO OUR COUNTRY. BUT HE WILL NOT STEAL OUR JOY, OUR HOPE, OR OUR COMMUNITY SPIRIT!** We stand stronger together. We stand up for our neighbors, our democracy, and the future we want for Alaska. And we’re not showing up just to protest—we’re showing up together! **Black Water Railroad will be there to bring the music** and help keep our spirits high. Because standing up for what matters can be powerful, positive, and even fun. 📍 **WHERE:** Newcomb Park, 891 E. Parks Highway, Wasilla Lake 🕜 **WHEN:** 1:30–4:00 PM **PARKING** is limited at Newcomb Park and we will prioritize those who need a little extra help. Let’s fill Newcomb Park with a strong, peaceful, visible expression of our community’s determination. Trump is coming to Wasilla. **Let’s make sure our voices are heard!** *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
