About
No Kings, No Dictators: Vote Early Rally Returns to Rhinelander Oct. 17 Rhinelander will once again raise its voice for democracy this fall. The "No Kings: No Dictators — Vote Early" rally is set for Saturday, October 17, from noon to 2 p.m. at Pioneer Park, located at the corner of South Oneida and Kemp Street. Organizers are hoping to build on the energy of last year's event, which drew more than 1,050 participants to Rhinelander and surrounding communities. That crowd turned out in everything from inflatable costumes to period dress to plain everyday clothes, creating a colorful and spirited scene as residents gathered to speak out against authoritarianism and encourage early voting. This year's rally carries the same message: no kings, no dictators, and no excuses when it comes to making your voice heard at the ballot box. Attendees are encouraged to bring signs, wear costumes if they'd like, and join neighbors for two hours of community, conversation, and civic action in the heart of the city. The gathering isn't just about the protest itself — it's also about connection. Once the rally wraps up at 2 p.m., participants are invited to keep the momentum going at a post-rally happy hour at Nacho's, located in the Trig's mall in Rhinelander. It's a chance to unwind, meet fellow attendees, and keep the conversation going over food and drinks. Whether you came last year or are joining for the first time, organizers say all are welcome at Pioneer Park on October 17.
