Maple Tree Place, Williston, Vermont
About
Join friends and neighbors at Maple Tree Place in Williston to stand up for democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law. This event also marks our 200th roadside event since we started in March 2025. We'll gather at the intersection of Route 2A and Marshall Ave. Bring a sign, bring an American flag, bring a friend or family member. This event is co-hosted by Williston for Equity and Democracy with Champlain Valley Indivisible. Our right to peacefully gather and speak out against injustice is protected by the First Amendment. We'll be out there from 11 am til noon. Come when you can and leave when you need to. If you plan to join us, please register. It lets us reach you if there are any changes due to weather. --There is plenty of parking nearby. Please do not choose spots near business entrances. --Please follow the guidance of our safety marshals in bright yellow or orange vests. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
