ABOUT THIS EVENT National Walk For Lives – Washington, DC 🇺🇸 The Walk For Lives is more than a local event—it is a national movement of healing, remembrance, and action. On September 26, families, friends, advocates, and communities from across the country will come together in Washington, DC to: Honor lives lost to fentanyl Support those still grieving Raise awareness Unite for change This is our moment to stand together—not just as individuals, but as a nation. We are expecting attendees from across the country to join us for this national event. Whether you are coming for the day or making a weekend of it, we encourage you to begin planning early. ✈️ Nearby Airports: Reagan National (DCA) – closest Dulles International (IAD) Baltimore/Washington (BWI) ⸻ 🏨 HOTEL & TRAVEL INFORMATION We've secured a group room block for Walk For Lives attendees at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View (2800 South Potomac Ave, Arlington, VA 22202)—just minutes from Reagan National (DCA) and an easy trip into the District. (If you're arriving September 24, that night may fall outside the block—reach out and we'll help you find the best available option.) ⸻ 📍 MEETING LOCATION We will gather near the Washington Monument in Washington, DC on the morning of Saturday, September 26. Walk For Lives DC steps off at 9:30 a.m.—the culmination of more than 100 walks held across the country this year. We will feature powerful voices including: Families impacted by fentanyl Advocates and leaders Special guests ⸻ 🗓️ EVENT AGENDA — Washington Weekend This year's Walk is part of UAF's Washington Weekend, two days of action in the nation's capital: Friday, September 25 — Hill Day (Capitol Hill): Families and advocates carry their stories directly to Congress. Saturday, September 26 — Walk For Lives, 9:30 a.m. (Washington Monument): Opening remarks, speaker presentations, memorial moments, the Walk, and a closing message. Saturday, September 26 — The Summit on Synthetic Drugs, 2:30–8:00 p.m. (Georgetown's Hart Auditorium): Leading voices in policy, enforcement, and public health.
