About

## **Mobile Grocery Delivery: Drive for Our Neighbors** **Join our group effort to strengthen and improve our community's health!** We're partnering with local organizations to support and expand **Wesley House's food delivery program**, and we are looking for dedicated drivers to help get essential nutrition directly to those who need it most. --- ### **The Opportunity: Friday Delivery Routes** This specific volunteer opportunity is focused on the **Friday delivery window.** - **Impact:** You will be the face of the program, delivering pre-packed grocery assistance boxes directly to families' homes. - **Logistics:** You’ll use your own vehicle to navigate a pre-planned route. This is a great way to support meaningful work that directly impacts our neighbors while keeping everyone safe through our contactless delivery protocols. --- ### **Mandatory: Onboarding & Training** To ensure the safety of our volunteers and the families we serve, we have a strict onboarding process. **You cannot participate in a delivery shift until the following is completed:** 1. **Adelante/SI Training:** You **[MUST SIGN UP](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdi5P6pBpFoWoX7dAw52fQWZNYW-tQU1jXaZrgQ5FhdLg4j4A/viewform)** and complete a training session hosted by our community partner, **Adelante/SI**. They are our lead partners in safety and security, providing the necessary guidance for home delivery interactions. 2. **Mobilize Sign-Up:** Once your training is COMPLETED and verified, you are welcome to sign up for as many Friday delivery shifts as your schedule allows right here on Mobilize. *PLEASE NOTE: You will not be permitted to participate in any FRIDAY volunteer shift until you complete your **mandatory security training** provided by Adelante; if you sign-up for a driving shift via Mobilize, you MUST complete your training FIRST. You will not receive a delivery route or any information until your completed training is verified. This is to ensure the safety and security of our families and volunteers.* ### **Why This Work Matters** Mutual aid is not a temporary fix; it is a **continuous, vital need.** For many families in our area, food insecurity acts as a significant barrier to accessing healthcare, maintaining employment, or achieving long-term success. We’ve seen how major policy changes and economic shifts have impacted communities across the nation, often leaving families to make impossible choices between food and other basic needs. This delivery program is our way of ensuring our neighbors don’t have to make those choices alone. By driving a route, you are providing the "last mile" of support that turns a box of food into a household meal. **Ready to hit the road for a good cause?** Help us bridge the gap between the warehouse and the dinner table.
