About
Monona Defends Democracy and the Constitution. Saturday, May 2, May 16, and May 30, IndivisibleMonona will again be at the corner of Monona Drive and Nichols Road defending the rule of law and protesting the war in Iran. 10:00 - 11:00. We are winning. The giant, the American public, is rising and recognizing the madness of the President and this administration. Over 8 million people protested on March 28. The giant grows bigger and stronger. We are not the crazy ones. We are not the ones who refuse to follow the law and release the Epstein files. We are not the ones who are disrupting the world's economy. We are not the ones who have driven the price of gasoline beyond the reach of many. We are not the ones who are doing nothing to address affordability issues. We are not the ones asking for a 40% increase in defense spending, to be paid for by cutting child care, Medicaid and Medicare, environmental protections, housing assistance and many other popular programs. We are not the ones who refuse to make billionaires pay their fair share. We are not the ones working to undermine elections and control voter lists. We are not the crazy ones. Nothing is more conservative than defending the rule of law and the Constitution. We are the ones who will bring an end to the attacks on democracy and the Constitution. Join us Saturday May 2, May 16, and May 30. We are winning. Keep the pressure on. IndivisibleMonona *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
