Join Team Dems at WorldCup 26! Decatur is hosting the largest FIFA World Cup 26 watch party in DeKalb County! WATCHFEST occurs on the recently transformed Decatur Square where there will be live viewings of FIFA matches on large screens and concerts on the new performance stage. There will be 3 major concerts and many other fun events and activities that will attract thousands of locals who vote here as well as tourists hoping to see the best of the US. Our Caucus - DeKalb County LGBTQ+ Democrats - is organizing visibility and voter education at these events with signs that inform voters of the June 16 Runoff and July 28 Special Election, highlight Democrat Values, and Thank them for Voting. We will be standing in groups of two or more at both MARTA Decatur Station plazas and other strategic and adjacent locations at these events: Thursday June 11, 5:00pm - 7:30pm: BIG BOI SOLD OUT KICKOFF CELEBRATION CONCERT Thursday June 25, 5:00pm - 7:30pm: THE WAR AND TREATY CONCERT Dates and times announcing soon: RED, WHITE AND BLUE DAYS Saturday July 4, time announcing soon: FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION Sunday July 19, 5:00pm - 7:30pm: INDIGO GIRLS SOLD OUT CLOSING CONCERT WorldCup fans show up representing their favorite soccer icons and teams. Let's join the fun and show up representing our Dem values sporting family-friendly Dem gear. WatchFest may be the largest event in the history of Decatur, and perhaps all of DeKalb County. We will be there to inform voters of election dates, communicate our values, and thank them for voting. Please join us to show pride in what Democrats can do. Let's root for our team and win! Don't sit on the sidelines! Democracy is not a spectator sport!
