Join Food & Water Watch and Indivisible 845 in East Fishkill to demand a town wide moratorium on data centers! **Treetop wants to bring a hyperscale data center to East Fishkill.** The project would require a whopping 1,000 megawatts of electricity, _which would make it one of the largest data center projects ever proposed in New York State._ The explosive growth of AI data centers is one of the biggest affordability and environmental threats of our generation. This expansion is rapidly increasing demand for energy, driving more fossil fuel pollution, straining water resources, devouring land, and raising utility bills. **We need the East Fishkill Town Board to stop this project by passing a moratorium on data center permits.** We need the East Fishkill Town Board to stop this project by passing a moratorium on new data centers. The Town Board is considering adopting a 7 month moratorium on data centers, which is a great sign! BUT... 7 months is not enough - we need a 3 year moratorium to fully assess the risks of data centers. Show up to the East Fishkill Town Board Meeting on June 25th to make your voice heard and demand a 3 year moratorium! We will have a rally and press conference at 5:15PM before we head inside for the meeting at 6PM.
