About
40 years ago on May 25, 1986, more than 6 million Americans joined hands from New York to Los Angeles in one of the most powerful demonstrations of unity the world had ever seen. It was a moment that proves something simple and profound: when we reach out to one another, we are stronger together. Now that spirit is coming home to Boca Raton. One chain, One Community. One heart. On May 25, we invite you to step outside, take the hand of your neighbor, and feel what it means to truly be connected. Hands across Boca Raton is more than a commemoration. It’s a reminder that the bonds we build in our community are the foundation of everything we cherish. Come as you are. Bring your family, your friends, your neighbors and your favorite sign. All it takes is showing up and reaching out. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
