D-Day Remembrance

This a local Indivisible event! Remembering D-Day and Those Who Fought against Fascism Join us on June 6 to honor those who fought against fascism in WWII and to support the ideals they defended. We will gather on the sidewalk near the Poolesville town flagpole with our signs, flags, and voices from noon to 2 pm. We're especially encouraging signs that educate on the differences between democracy and fascism or that recognize a family member who was a veteran of WWII. Bring a water bottle and a chair if you need one, dress for the weather, and reach out if you have any questions. Spread the word! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
