Overpass at Grand & Hwy. 101, Arroyo Grande, California
About
Join the Overpass Brigade for high-impact fun, waving flags and displaying messages of solidarity, at safe overpasses along Hwy. 101 during rush hour. Bring flags, posters, music, costumes, water, wear a safety vest. Leave space on the overpass for pedestrians. Do NOT engage with hecklers. Be sure nothing can fall off your person and onto the freeway (sunglasses, pens, hats, etc.) BE SAFE and have fun waving at travelers on the freeway and surface street. Connect with like-minded folks and give travelers a boost too! When you arrive, give your name & contact info to the Overpass Captain. This a local Indivisible event! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
