About

ESTES PARK: A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE - THE TRUE COST For over 100 years -- from 1868 to 1971 -- May 30 had been a Day of Remembrance for the men and women who died in service to our country -- the True Cost of war. That specific date was the original “Memorial Day”. On this May 30 -- next Saturday, please join us for a day of Remembrance peaceful demonstration. Our soldiers take an Oath of Enlistment tied to a duty to defend our Constitution. They and their families know the true cost of that Oath. Likewise, our duty is to remember their sacrifice and to never put our troops in harm’s way without just cause and a clear commitment by our country. That commitment requires Congress to give formal and public consent for our country’s continued engagement in Iran. That commitment has not happened. The American public does not support continued hostilities with Iran, and Congress has avoided its Constitutional duty to vote on ending this war. So let us bring attention to the need for a peaceful resolution and protect our troops and our Constitution. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
