About
Town Board meeting June 25th, 6PM. Rally at 515 pm 330 Route 376 Hopewell Junction, NY 12533 Public hearing to discuss moratorium Treetop wants to bring a hyperscale data center to East Fishkill. The project would require a whopping 1,000 megawatts of electricity, which would make it one of the largest data center projects ever proposed in New York State. The explosive growth of AI data centers is one of the biggest affordability and environmental threats of our generation. This expansion is rapidly increasing demand for energy, driving more fossil fuel pollution, straining water resources, devouring land, and raising utility bills. We need the East Fishkill Town Board to stop this project by passing a moratorium on data center permits. And we need a moratorium at the state level to press the pause button on data centers, fully assess their risks, and institute regulations to protect our communities, health, and environment from the runaway damage this industry is already inflicting. Please be prepared for public comment if you can. We are co-organizing with Food and Water Watch, along with other org/groups on this action.
