About
###It’s voting day in the ASSEMBLY and bodily autonomy is on the agenda! YOU can help protect statewide providers and receivers of Reproductive Healthcare by showing up THIS THURSDAY on June 11th. TIMING UPDATE: The rally will start promptly at 11 AM and end by 12:30 PM to give time for folks to head through security before the session begins at 1 PM. Please arrive by 10:30 AM. For folks planning to attend the Assembly Session at 1PM, we recommend going through the security checkpoint in advance before the rally starts to minimize bottlenecks as we’re entering. WEATHER UPDATE: This Thursday is looking like it will be HOT. Please bring what you need to withstand the heat. We will have cold water available for folks. (Note: This event is rain or shine.) Additional logistics for the day’s events to follow! The bill (A2218) will: - Expand New Jersey's existing protections, ensuring that anyone providing or accessing reproductive or gender-affirming care in New Jersey is protected from legal attacks; - Re-affirm the safety and security of patients and providers by ensuring unhindered access to reproductive health care facilities in New Jersey; and - Protect the unique privacy needs for reproductive and gender-affirming care providers by shielding them from professional retaliation. Partnering Organizations include, but are not limited to: - THRIVE Coalition - Garden State Equality - Planned Parenthood - Transgender Rights Coalition-NJ (TRC-NJ) - ACLU - EDGE NJ - House of Hearts Network Foundation - League of Women Voters - NJCRI (North Jersey Community Research Initiative) - SOMA Action - United Progressive Democrats - WADEIn New Jersey
