About
Less than half of our neighbors voted last time – Given the new threats to our community by local, state, and federal governments, we commit to getting the largest voter turnout in American history to elect a people who work for us, not big money. We will need more than a wave – we need a tsunami! Work starts now. We will be rallying in our neighborhood to let people know change is possible if they register to vote, vote, and get others to vote. Bring your pro-democracy, pro-voting signs and community spirit. Our rallies are always a good time, and we have music! Frog (and other) costumes are welcome. You can serve as a Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR), help register voters at the rally and future community events. We have material to hand out and also ways to register voters on their phones or our devices. From our rallies we hope to engage volunteers to join our outreach efforts— tis will include block walking and other activities to help engage voters and strengthen participation across our community. Find out more when you attend about how you can make a difference. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy talking to people, being part of community efforts, or contributing behind the scenes in a meaningful way. Training is available (we’ll help you through it—it’s super easy!), and no prior experience is needed -- and no huge time commitment. Now is the time to say, “If not me, who?” Let’s do this! This event is sponsored by Snoqualmie Valley Indivisible https://www.snoqualmievalleyindivisible.org/ *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
