Flag Day: No Kings

Join We Rise Up for two events on Flag Day, Sunday, June 14th, as we join a nationwide movement to Rise Up and Sing Out against authoritarianism. ## No Kings Protest In the morning (10:00a-12:00p), we will be in the shade at Conroe City Hall and the Montgomery County Courthouse for a honk-and-wave protest visibility event. One Regime, Too Many Problems! Bring your signs for a cause near and dear to you. Sign up for this event here on this page. We will be hosting a Food Drive benefitting Abundant Harvest Food Pantry. Bring non-perishables to donate, or donate/volunteer online at https://www.theabundantharvest.org. ## Watch Party In the evening, we will be hosting a watch party of the Rise Up, Sing Out!, A Concert for the First Amendment in New York City. Featuring all-star performers (Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Sasha Allen, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more), this 90-minute concert event celebrates our Freedoms of Speech, Religion, Press, Assembly, and Protest along with the People Power that fuels and guarantees them. Our MoCo Watch Party will show the concert on livestream as we build and celebrate our community. Bring a snack, finger food, or appetizer to share, bring art supplies or a craft, network with like-minded folks, and sing along with the concert!
