About

This a local Indivisible event! It's about time we decided that the flag belongs to us all. Gather with us to take the flag back on flag day. We actually have a variety of activities that we are encouraging our group to do. 1. Join us on Flag Day, Sunday, June 14th at 3:00 pm until 4:30 PM in front of the Schuyler County Courthouse to gather together to Rise Up and Take Our Flag back. We are hosting a honk and wave with a patriotic theme. Bring your flags and signs to raise your voice in support of our democracy. We will also be collecting donations and having a diaper drive to support the Montour Falls Food Pantry. All sizes of diapers, everything helps... 2. Indivisible is also sponsoring a livestream concert and Watch Party. We are encouraging folks who would like to participate in this to invite their friends and family over to host their own Watch Party. Have snacks and enjoy the music. There are several big name entertainers who will be there. We will send you the appropriate link when it becomes available. The Concert starts at 7:30 pm so you have plenty of time to have your Watch Party after our Honk and Wave. 3. Use Your Super Power and Vote!!!! When you come to join us for the Honk and Wave, you will have the perfect opportunity to vote in the Democrat Primary. Schuyler County is offering early voting on that day and you are urged to go over to the Courthouse and cast your ballot in the Primary. You must be a registered Democrat in order to vote. We hope to see you at the Honk and Wave.... Use Your Super Power: take back our flag and cast your vote in the Democratic Primary all in one day! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
