About
On the president;s birthday, we say No voter-suppressive meddling in elections.! We protest the 2026 push to require additional "proof of citizenship" to vote, moving on three tracks at once — a bill in Congress, an executive order, and a Justice Department campaign to seize the states' voter data. They share an error-prone federal citizenship-matching system that wrongly flags real citizens, aimed at a crime (noncitizen voting) that is already a felony and already vanishingly rare. In WA state we have the 26-500 initiative that essentially does similar voter suppression/voter discouraging as the SAVE act. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
