VOLUNTEER: Woodstock's July 4th Spectacular Parade

Celebrate Independence Day and show your support for the campaign by joining us at the Woodstock July 4th Spectacular Parade! On Saturday, July 4th, we are teaming up with the Cherokee County Democrats to march together as a strong, unified local team. While our candidate cannot be present for this event, we want to ensure our campaign is proudly and heavily represented in our home community. We are looking for a lively group of 10 or more volunteers to walk the route, represent the campaign, and showcase our momentum to the thousands of neighbors lining the streets. We will gather promptly at 9:00 AM in the staging area at Woodstock Elementary School, located at 230 Rope Mill Rd. The parade kicks off at 10:00 AM and runs until approximately 12:15 PM, covering a 1.3-mile route through downtown Woodstock. Volunteers should plan to be present from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM to help us check in, line up with the county Democratic unit, and wrap up at the end of the parade route. As part of our marching group, you will help wave to the crowd, bring high energy, and distribute candy to parade-goers along the route. Please wear your favorite campaign swag, such as t-shirts or hats, so our team looks unified and stands out within the larger group. Because we will be walking 1.3 miles in the July heat, please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, stay hydrated, and bring sunscreen. Once the parade wraps up, you are in the perfect spot to stick around, enjoy the downtown Woodstock festivities, or head out to your holiday celebrations. Please RSVP today to lock in your spot and help us coordinate our volunteer lineup with the county team!
