Independence Day Celebration in Maricopa, AZ

This a local Indivisible event! Greetings Copa Patriots, Only two weeks until our 250th anniversary. Are you ready to stand on the street corner to protest in 90+ degree temps? Not really, eh? 🤣 Well then, let's celebrate in our own special way. Let's show Copa that we're proud and grateful for our 250 years of independence from tyranny, and that we will NOT go back to authoritarian rule! Here's the plan for our July 4th celebration. Starting at 9am (on top of the hour) get in your vehicle decorated with your signs/messages/flags and take a quick drive up/down the main portion of 347 in Maricopa. Make several passes if possible. It won't be like a car rally because we'll be scattered about, but that's fine. We'll be like little bees buzzing around town ... even in our own neighborhoods. We can honk, wave and smile at everyone celebrating with us. Let's make some noise! Then throughout the morning (last run at noon), especially if you're going out anyway, leave at the top of the hour and make a couple of passes up and down the main drag on 347, then go do your shopping, or get lunch/dinner, get gasoline, or whatever you need to do. We can do this at 9am thru noon every hour at the top of each hour. If we get enough people to join us, it could be a lot of fun and our messages will be seen/felt ... AND we won't be baked! Our dream for America lives on … Vote "D" for Decency, Dignity and Democracy! CAUTION: Please stay on roads where you can drive safely below 35 mph so you don’t lose the signs and flags on your vehicle and possibly cause an accident. Attach all signs on your vehicles securely, in advance, where they don't obstruct your view in any way. And please obey all traffic regulations. Be safe! We're all in this together folks. Happy 250th Independence Day! See you on the streets of Maricopa! We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
