About

This a local Indivisible event, sponsored by Unified Nassau Florida For 250 years, generations of heroes have fought to make this country live up to its ideals. Workers fought for dignity. Women fought for equality. Civil rights leaders fought for justice. Immigrants fought for opportunity. LGBTQ+ communities fought for the freedom to live openly and authentically. Progress was never handed to us. It was fought for. As we celebrate 250 years of American heroes, who fought for freedom, we also recognize a simple truth: the work is not finished. MAGA does not own the flag. We don’t pledge allegiance to one man. We should not allow our history, however uncomfortable, to be whitewashed. America’s evolution over 250 years, through triumphs and mistakes, has made us who we are today. We should be working together for the American people, not the wealthy and well-connected. We deserve fair wages, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, quality education, and a democracy where every voice matters. For 250 years, extraordinary people have joined together to push this country forward. They challenged injustice, expanded freedom, and demanded a better future for those who came after them. Now it's our turn. Join us as we demand people over profit, democracy over oligarchy, and an America that works for All of U.S. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
