About
Celebrate democracy by marching in the Jackson 4th of July Parade. This year marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and greatest act of rebellion in the name liberty and equality that the world has ever witnessed… The revolution marches on in each and every one of you who stand up for democracy, the rule of law, and human rights for all. Join your neighbors on Saturday 7/4 at 9:30am on Snow King Dr. in front of the Fair Grounds to march for freedom. We will be displaying the “Stars for Democracy” banners so many of you contributed too. Just look for the big green 6x6 army truck covered in your thoughts on what democracy means to you. We will be assigned a number in the parade line up the morning of the event and share it via the chat for this event and on social media….but we should be pretty easy to find. Marching to fight for liberty and justice for all is the best way to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
