Langlade Indivisible is marching in the Antigo 4th of July parade at 7:00 p.m. CDT on the 4th! We will gather at the staging area; 3rd Avenue and Hudson Street at Lake park (parking available there) and join the parade up Arctic Avenue to the Langlade county fairgrounds (about eight blocks). Bring your patriotic garb, signs celebrating our independence from tyranny/kings, equality, liberty, justice and the contributions of immigrants to this country. We urge people to accentuate the positive and not focus so much on Trump and his assaults on democratic rights and laws. Gather at 6:30 pm at the staging area; food, music and fireworks will be at the fairgrounds after the parade. Sign making from 9:30-11:30 a.m. June 27 at the Antigo library (supplies provided). Won't you march in our parade? Bring the kids! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
