**Join Indivisible Pajaro Valley for a special Signs of Fascism (SoF) protest!** On Friday, July 17, Indivisible Pajaro Valley will hold side-by-side protests on Main Street in Watsonville. Our Signs of Fascism protest will take place a bit further towards downtown on Main Street, leaving space in front of the Fish House for a sister protest specifically about voting rights as a part of nationwide "Good Trouble Lives On" protests. Here's what to expect: - Parking may be a little more challenging because there will be more people protesting, so plan to arrive a little earlier than usual. - We will stand on Main Street but not by the Auto Center Drive light as we have before. Instead, we will be standing closer to the Rodriguez St. light, leaving the Auto Center Drive area available for the voting rights protest. - The protest will last about an hour - Please dress all in black, and wear comfortable shoes! - We will stand silently, spaced 15-20 feet apart by the side of the road, and each person will hold one sign. - Our signs are in English on one side and in Spanish on the other side, so we will periodically switch languages all at the same time. We will need a minimum of 15 people to have the most impact. We have 20 signs, so we can have up to 20 sign holders - but we will need a few additional folks to record, keep an eye out for any hazards or disruptions, and keep the sign-holders coordinated.
