Salmonberry Trail Work Party - Habitat Restoration in Wheeler!

Saturday, September 19, 2026, 10:00 AM PDT
Wheeler, Oregon

About

We will be working on restoration and landscaping every Monday and every 3rd Saturday in Wheeler. There is something for everyone--removing blackberry, ivy, knotweed; planting native species; and distributing woodchips! UPDATE: For 10/26, members of OPRD and STF board will be installing carsonite signs and doing a safety walk through, helpers are welcome! For Saturday 9/19--we will be installing more holes and will need help using a post hole digger and restacking rocks around the culvert on the south section of the trail. Some of the larger railroad ballast had made its way back onto the trail, and we assistance cleaning that area up. Please bring loppers, a rake, work gloves, water, and a snack for yourself. We will have extra tools and gloves if you do not own any. We will meet behind the railroad tracks on Marine Dr and Hemlock St (west side of Hwy 101) in Wheeler at 10AM.
