About
Dear Friends, We need your voice at an important moment for our community. On Monday, July 6, at 5:00 PM, the Reading City Council Committee of the Whole will consider the introduction of a zoning ordinance designed to protect our neighborhoods, infrastructure, and quality of life from the harmful impacts of large-scale data center development. Thanks to the incredible organizing and advocacy of community members across Pennsylvania Stands Up Chapters, we have an opportunity to take a step toward ensuring that future development in Reading reflects the needs of residents—not just corporate interests. This ordinance would establish important safeguards and help prevent data center projects that could strain our energy grid, consume significant water resources, and alter the character of our communities without adequate oversight. Will you join us and bring 3 of you neighbors or loved ones to attend and show support for the introduction of this ordinance? Your presence matters. Even if you do not plan to speak, simply showing up demonstrates to City Council that residents care deeply about protecting our community. Committee of the Whole Meeting Monday, July 6 5:00 PM Reading City Hall Thank you for your continued commitment to our community. Together, we organize. Together, we win. ✊🏽💛
