Cowlitz I5 Banner Brigade

This a local Indivisible event! One focus Kalama & Friends for Justice has is to raise awareness of the issues struggling Americans face under this current regime. We want to keep those issues front and center. Especially as legacy media continues to ignore the reality of our everyday lives. Overpass bannering is one way to keep the spotlight on those issues. Perhaps good conversations will be had in the vehicles as they pass by our messages. Perhaps people will seek us out, helping to expand our community and engagement. If possible, wear hi-vis clothing (think safety vests, bright colors). If you are not helping with holding the poles, you can wave, hold signs, have good conversations with your fellow activists. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
