About
On Friday, July 17th 5-6:30pm join us on the 7th street pedestrian bridge in Long Beach to spell out messages to say PROTECT VOTING RIGHTS FOR ALL and ICE MURDERS MUST STOP! We are facing increasing ICE violence and the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations. The same spirit that fueled Selma, Montgomery, and the March on Washington lives on in our unified action. Join us as we honor the legacy of John Lewis and carry the torch of the civil rights movement and MAKE GOOD TROUBLE. Bring flags and wave to passing vehicles, or drive by to wave and honk in support. Bring water on these warmer days! You can also learn some resistance songs and sing with us on the pedestrian bridge! Check out these singing resistance resources 🎶✊ https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1iSgUV8UvIjKL7W2nAGoiR-7h5DUnFfRo A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
