Maine United (Waterville)

Please join us for this joyful, non-violent "Maine United (Waterville)" rally, bringing together our pro-democracy community in celebration of our resilience in the face of the challenges of these last few weeks/months in our state and our nation. Let's come together to deepen our shared, collective pro-democracy focus and be in solidarity as we look ahead to the November elections and our determination to unify behind all our pro-democracy nominees at every level! We will have music as well as comments from some of our local candidates for office. Let's celebrate our collective and purposeful work on behalf of our beloved democracy, along with our precious rights to speak and vote and gather and work together for the common good. Bring your cheerful spirits, your commitment to our shared purpose, your creative signs (upbeat messages preferred!), colorful clothing, friends! Bring snacks to share if you are able. Please reach out to me if you have questions. And if you are able to donate some canned mixed fruit for the Winslow Community Cupboard, we'll be collecting that at the Indivisible Mid Maine welcome table. Thanks! A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment.
