About
This Saturday, August 8, join the League of Women Voters and our partners as we host a nationwide day of civic action in honor of the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. We invite all members and friends to join us on August 8 at Chicago's Bud Billiken Parade to celebrate and promote the Voting Rights Act—we'll have signs for you to wave as we watch the parade enter the park! Meet us at 11:00 am at our gathering spot south of the Reviewing Stand on the west side of Ellsworth Drive. (This is in Washington Park, entering on Ellsworth Dr. south of 51st.) All are welcome!
