Beltway overpass anti-ICE protest

Please join your neighbors to express our outrage about the ongoing violence by ICE against our communities! We will display the message STOP ICE MURDERS on the Persimmon Tree overpass over the Beltway along with an American flag. We welcome more flags, signs with large lettering, costumes, or just yourself to show support for the message! Thousands of cars travel under the bridge during the course of the event. Please wear sunscreen and bring water and snacks as needed. Parking is available at Carderock Springs elementary school, which is also a good location to enter into GPS, or on Tomlinson Avenue. No restrooms are available. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
