About
# Vigil for Justice: Lorenzo, Johan, and All — ICE Out Join the **Marin County Social Justice Volunteers** on **Saturday, July 25**, as we stand in solidarity with communities across the country for a National Day of Action. Together, we will hold a peaceful vigil to honor the lives of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Johan Sebastian Guerrero, demand immediate accountability, and call for an end to ICE violence in our communities. ### Why We Are Gathering In the span of less than a week, two devastating tragedies exposed the fatal reality of ICE operations: * **Lorenzo Salgado Araujo** was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston, Texas, on July 7 while driving his work van. * **Johan Sebastian Guerrero**, a 26-year-old food delivery driver, was fatally shot by ICE in Biddeford, Maine, on July 13 in front of his wife and toddler. These men were beloved family members, workers, and community pillars. We refuse to let their deaths go unnoticed. We gather to shine a light on this injustice, demand systemic accountability, and insist on safety and dignity for all immigrants. ### Event Details * 📅 **Date:** Saturday, July 25, 2026 * 🕒 **Time:** 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM (Pacific Time) * 📍 **Location:** 265 Shoreline Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941 * 🕯️ **What to Bring:** Signs, candles (LED or wax), and your community spirit. ### What to Expect This will be a peaceful, solemn vigil focused on remembrance, community solidarity, and collective action. * **Opening remarks** and local speaker sharing. * **A moment of silence** to honor Lorenzo, Johan, and all victims of state violence. * **Action steps** on how to support national advocacy efforts and local mutual aid. > **Note on Safety:** In alignment with our national partners, this is a strictly nonviolent action.
