We will gather on the northeast corner of the Courthouse Square to oppose any local AI Data Centers. On Monday the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners voted no 3-2 against a moratorium on data centers to be proposed in Lincoln County. From 10 a.m. to noon we will be on the square with banner and signs and a petition to show the commissioners the depth of opposition among their constituents to siting data centers in the county. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss the impacts of these facilities on local communities. This site has some trees for shade and a few benches (under the trees). There are no public restrooms, although nearby businesses have allowed us to use theirs in the past. We expect people will come and go throughout the two hour rally.
