About

On July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston while driving a work van with his crew. On July 13, ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine — his wife and toddler forced to witness his murder. Both men were beloved members of their communities, killed on their way to work. Join us for a vigil to demand Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. ICE Out. Stand in Solidarity: Join the "Good Trouble Lives On" Community Event and Rally This Saturday! 🗓️ Event Schedule & Locations: UCC Fort Lauderdale, FL. Part 1: Community Gathering & Refreshments (11am to 2pm) Where: Elliott Hall (Inside UCC Fort Lauderdale) What: Inspiring speakers, live music, community building, food, and refreshments. Part 2: The Solidarity March & Protest (2:30pm - 3:30pm) Where: Freedom Corner (Intersection of Oakland Park Blvd & Federal Hwy) What: Immediately following the indoor program, we will march to Freedom Corner—the same site as the recent "No Kings" protest—to hold a powerful solidarity stand. *A core principle behind all Disappeared In America events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
