About
On July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston while driving a work van with his crew. On July 13, ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine — his wife and toddler forced to witness his murder. Both men were beloved members of their communities, killed on their way to work. Join us for a vigil to demand Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. ICE Out. *A core principle behind all Disappeared In America events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.* This protest will happen at the intersection of Bloomfield and Lakeside ave in Verona, NJ 07044 at the entrance to Verona park. Dress to be comfortable standing for the duration and wear red, brown, yellow, orange or black if possible. You are also strongly encouraged to shop at the local town stores so our presence is further appreciated. Most importantly, don't respond to MAGA people and opposition with hate or anger! That's what they want from us :( & not what were about (: Thanks in advance for showing up everybody! (:
