About

## Join Indivisible Middlebury, Saturday, July 25, at 4:00 p.m. for a peaceful vigil to honor the individuals recently killed by ICE. In one week, ICE agents have murdered two men, husbands, fathers, workers, community members, and not the targets the ICE agents were seeking. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo of Houston and Johan Sebastian Duran Guerrero of Maine were both fatally shot, though they were not the targets of an immigration enforcement operation. Johan was a 25-year-old father from Colombia who was authorized to work in the U.S. and had been issued a Social Security number. Lorenzo was originally from Mexico, had lived and worked in the U.S. for 30 years with his wife of 40 years and their three sons, and was a builder who managed construction sites. He was on his way to work with a work crew. In both cases, the ICE agents were in unmarked cars and were not wearing body cameras. Donald Trump overturned the pause in ICE actions ordered by Tom Holman, saying the "ICE Agents are doing a great job." If you are outraged by these tragic murders, and if you are wondering what has happened to decency and the Rule of Law in our country, then join us and millions of Americans in a National Day of Justice for Lorenzo and Johan. We will line the sides of the Cross Street Bridge in Middlebury from 4-5 p.m to honor their memory. See you on Saturday, July 25, from 4-5 p.m. at the Cross Street Bridge. This peaceful, non-violent, family friendly event is sponsored by Indivisible Middlebury. [email removed]
