This a local Indivisible event! Since we were unable to have our Honk and Wave last week and there is a National Call for Protest against ICE and the recent murders, we are hosting another Honk and Wave this coming Saturday. You can use signs which reflect voting rights which we emphasized for last week's event, or you can create signs focused on the issues with ICE. Let's stand in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors and others who have to face the possibility of being detained by ICE. Let us remind our community that informed VOTING is one of the most important jobs we have in a Democracy As usual, we will collect non-perishable food items/donations for a local food pantry. We will support the Pantry in Cayuta for this event. Please bring something to share. We will have beverages available. If you need a chair, please bring one. Hope to see you there. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
