About

In response to the wave of congressional redistricting following the supreme court decision that **effectively diluted black political power in the south,** organizers and influencers are marching 1,000 miles from Nashville to Memphis to bear witness, protect voting rights, and take our power back. The campaign is bringing together communities across the South (TN, GA, AL, MS & AR) to **register voters, support grassroots organizations, and highlight the ongoing importance of civic participation through local events and organizing efforts.** Join us Thursday, July 30th as the 1000 Mile March to Memphis moves through Chattanooga! This is a LAST CALL because we'll be just 2 DAYS before the end of early voting for our County General & State Primary Election!!! **Here’s what to expect:** Voter education & resources for our current election cycle ending on August 6th! Voter registration for the November election (our collective goal is to register 100,000 voters during the march—10 votes for every mile!) Relationship building and celebration! ***Learn more about the 1000 Miles to Memphis March here:*** https://youtu.be/S-soJUpwlv0?is=uwA8hobageF9-pHw ***Check out the website:*** https://1000milestomemphis.com/
