Saturday, August 22, 2026, 1:00 PM EDT
Philadelphia City Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
About
This summer is too hot to ignore! As students head back to school, dangerous heat is following them into the classroom. Climate change is making summers hotter and longer, putting students, teachers, and school staff at risk in overheated schools. Join educators, parents, students, local leaders, and community members at Philadelphia City Hall to demand climate action that protects our kids and ensures every student has a safe, healthy place to learn. Together, we'll send a clear message: our children are not expendable. Things to Know 📍 Meet on the North Apron of Philadelphia City Hall. 🕐 The event begins at 1:00 p.m. 🎤 The rally will follow a press conference featuring local leaders, educators, and community advocates. ✍️ Sign our petition calling for climate solutions that put people before polluters. 🎒 Free Back-to-School Heat Safety Kits available while supplies last. ☀️ This is an outdoor event. Dress for the weather, bring water, and wear sunscreen.
